Edmondson Communications,Inc (ECI) is a professional sales marketing and distribution company founded in 1999 in response to the lack of personal attention being focused on a small to medium-sized music labels and artists.

Historically, and even more so today, major music labels and music distribution companies are "hit driven" entities. There are a number of reasons for this, but primarily it's due to the fact that a hit record and major artists are what keeps these companies in the business, thereby increasing their profiles and their profits. The bigger the label, the more product they must sell to satisfy their immense overhead.

Additionally, agreements between labels and artist management have much to do with the amount of time and money that is spent on a particular artist or act. The larger, or more important an artist is to a label, the more time and money is spent on that artist. As a consequence, less time and money is spent on the sales and development of the balance of their artists.

ECI's mission is to provide each of our clients with the sales and marketing expertise and attention necessary to maximize the sales potential of their products.

As your distributor, ECI will diligently promote the sale and marketing of all labels and artists that it contracts with.

The distribution and marketing of each title or product line begins with a customized design and development plan, which includes positioning, sales and distribution channels, and advertising

ESTABLISHED SALES CHANNELS

In order to establish an identity in the next place for your product line, product will be presented to the key retail audio outlets throughout the country.

  • Buyers for these companies will receive a presentation folder containing appropriate selling info, such as the actual CD, sell sheets,press releases, tracking and itinerary.
  • We will present your product to both traditional and non-traditional retail outlets; Brick & Mortar as well as online (and digital distribution)

STEP-BY-STEP PROCEDURE TO HANDLE NEW RELEASE AND PROMOTIONS

  1. Mail or deliver (live presentations), samples and supporting information.
  2. Follow up on presentation.
  3. Get order.
  4. Confirm receipt of order by label.
  5. Make sure retailer receives and distributes product to store level
  6. Confirm price and positioning if applicable.
  7. Track sales progress, if warranted.
  8. Schedule promotional activities such as advertising in in-store magazine, in-store artist appearance.
